I try to create art that is eye pleasing but also to express my social and personal insights and experiences. This piece was inspired by the joy I felt. It was meant to celebrate the arrival of my son’s and daughter in law’s twin boys from an orphanage in Haiti.
It’s funny how life turns on a dime. Suddenly this piece represents my broken heart and reflects the despair I’m feeling.
With the crisis and rioting in Haiti, nothing is certain. My grandchildren are in imminent danger. Water, drinking water, food, fuel are all running out. The orphanage is handling the crisis as best as they can. There are dozens of children and babies in incubators that are innocent and unaware of the dangers facing them. It is a desperate and trying time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
To my son and daughter in law, I ❤️ you. I can’t wait for you to hold your boys in the safety of your home. I dedicate this piece to you.
UPDATE….. Our grandchildren have finally arrive. Thanks to all those that helped and encouraged us to keep our spirits high.❤️❤️❤️
